I am dedicated to providing physical and emotional peace to service workers through yoga. My goal is to address the longstanding neglect service industry workers have experienced and to create spaces where their well-being is prioritized. I aim to support service workers by helping them manage and alleviate pain, regulate adrenaline and anxiety, and develop tools to navigate busy shifts while unwinding in healthy ways.
Historically, physical fitness began gaining popularity in the 1960s-1970s, during a time of societal transformation. However, the focus of the fitness industry often catered to higher-paying jobs, leaving service workers–many of whom faced systemic challenges–overlooked. This gap has persisted over the years.
While I cannot personally understand every experience tied to these inequities, I am committed to fostering inclusion and accessibility in wellness for all service workers. Recognizing this imbalance, I strive to be a part of the change by making yoga a resource that supports the physical and emotional needs of those in the service industry.
